How to upgrade Samsung S Advance i9070 Android version from 2.3.6 Gingerbread to 4.1.2 Jellybean

Assalamualaikum wbt and greets!

basically, this time, I would like to share on how to upgrade your Samsung S Advance, model number : i9070's firmware, which is to upgrade the Android version from 2.3.6 Gingerbread to 4.1.2 Jellybean.

All you need to have are:

1. your Samsung S Advance i9070 (make sure it;s 75% ++of battery available)
2. a cable /usb cable
3. PC
4. Kies Software
5. patience

why I put the patience thing as one of the needs is because, the process of upgrading the firmware may take a longer time.

basically, I'll just put a video frame from YouTube, trust me, it's understandable and easy to be followed up. this video covered all the steps that need to be taken into account.

if you don't have the Kies thingy at your desktop, no worries. here's the link to download it

do follow the instructions as provided on the page.
please note that this upgrade thing is using the stock ROM from the manufacturer.

what differences it made?
I'll just simply put some pics so that you can see clearly.

Your new lock screen

now that its firmware has been updated /upgraded

 your new notification bar or whatsoever you call 'em. left (the old one), right (the new one)

your phone's RAM now has increased to 625MB

You now can simply remove any active apps
 by pressing long the home button,
slide the apps to the left

camera :

now that you can zoom in and out 
when you're about to take pictures

you can now upload any videos to
 your instagram account 
which before this, you're forbidden from doing so

I've checked if the phone is still an original one
despite of the upgrading to the latest firmware thing

the new interface and options when the power button is pressed. left (the old one), right (the new one).

As the firmware was upgraded from the manufacturer software itself, by means it is a stock ROM, so the warranty is occupied /valid still. no worries.
