Pizza Sandwich by Lazy Bums

Have you ever felt like having a slice of pizza at instant but just too lazy to get out of your house heading to any pizza parlor available in your town? Or perhaps your house is just not on the list of regions covered for any pizza delivery? i.e lembah beringin?

Fret not!

Lol when I reread the paragraph above, it sounded like I’m advertising a product. Totally joking people!

The title says it all. Me and my sis were craving for a pizza pan but yeah, we were just too lazy to spend our penny for a pizza (and gas). Hence we came out with our very own version of pizza sandwich by lazy bums.

All we needed were already available ingredients.

  • Slices of loaf bread (instead of the round-shaped bread they use)
  • Tomato sauce
  • Tomato slices (or a chopped one)

  • Chili sauce

  • Onions (any kind of onions and we used Holland Onions)

  • Cheese slices (you could use any kind of cheese that you want, or even a grated one as well)

  • Sausages (for toppings)

Step:
1. Spread the tomato sauce over the
slices of loaf bread

2. Slices of sausages go on top

3. The not-really-chopped onions go in.

4. Slices tomato.

5. Last but not least, the very sexy cheese slice goes in.

6. Then you bake it for a couple of minutes for each half
till it turns a golden brownish like this one.
Then, you're good to munch your pizza sandwich.

Brader Kopi Point.

As days are getting hotter as temperature's risen, getting yourself hydrated with ice cubes probably would be one of the greatest options to choose.
Malaysia has no exception in regards of the El Nino effect. So every day there's this feeling of caging myself in a fridge which I would never do that obviously.

Many street vendors started to sell more drinks/beverages to help us the always thirsty people squeezing down the thirstiness and I for one, is one of those people who always thirsty. And recently I found out the existence of this business and I tend to always go there as they sell very delicious drinks for us.

My review on this :
They are great! They sell variety of flavors of your choice. And they also happened to have the apple and kiwi flavor, Yay!!

So, quickly get one of those coffees right now!

A Malay Wedding

Recently, I attended a Malay wedding in Terengganu. Prior to the event, I have decided to shoot the event just to favor my growing interest in photographing people. On top of that, I have never done any wedding photography before.

The Dowry Presenters.

She's my sister and many people tend to say that we look alike.
The bride and groom's (together with their respective family) dining table.

Thanks to these fellas we finally were able to squeeze our thirst.
Frankly speaking, that was one hella wedding I've ever attended. Y'know, with the El Nino effect has taken place in Malaysia, the weather was scorching hot, and still is till this day.

Hence, my father decided to have this well-shaped fresh
coconut water to squeeze down the heat.
And yet we stay thirsty.

My Pancakes Are Out-shaped!

Salam!

Nah, ala-ala Diva AA gitu.

I'm not a fan of pancakes, I never was. Tapi hari tu aku terasa nak makan penkek buatan sendiri tapi aku tak pernah buat penkek sepanjang 20 tahun 2 bulan aku hidup.

Aku pernah try masa dekat asrama dulu and penkek asrama, faham-faham jelah kan.

Kebetulan pulak kami dah pergi borong susu pekat manis tin yang sedozen tu dan telur sekampit. So buat apa beli kalau taknak pakai kan. Maka aku google-lah resepi penkek mudah tapi sedap dalam kereta on the way balik rumah. Ini resepi yang setelah aku modified bagai.

Bahan.

  1. 1 cawan tepung gandum (aku pakai mug transformer ubat gigi darlie tu, so takdelah cawan sangat)
  2. 1 biji telur ayam
  3. 1/2 cawan susu pekat manis ( ini sebab aku takde susu lemak berkrim tu. Kalau korang ada, boleh pakai 1 cawan)
  4. 1/2 cawan air masak/ suam/ mentah (ini tak perlu kalau korang pakai susu krim tu. Tapi sebab aku guna susu pekat manis, aku nak kasi balance kelikatan dan kemanisan susu tu)
  5. sedikit/secubit baking powder. (kalau letak banyak-banyak, nanti pahit lempeng aku)
  6. 1 sudu kecil esen vanilla
  7. mentega yang dicairkan (tapi aku guna minyak masak je
  8. kuali non-stick
Cara
Mudahkan?!

Untuk sukatan diatas, sebanyak 9 keping penkek berjaya dihasilkan dan kalau korang nak double or triple the pancakes, korang kena buat the same thing dekat sukatan.

Dia jadi leper semacam like seriously they're all out-shaped! With that, here's a photo of someone else's pancakes.

Travelogue : Kuala Besut

Last month, my family and I (minus my sister) went to Kuala Besut for a family day. But I'm not gonna confide much on the whole family day thing 'cause what I'm about to write here is how spectacular the place is.

On Friday, we kicked off our journey to Demong Beach Resort at 7.30 am-ish. Too bad for me because I'm not really a morning person, basically getting myself up early in the morning and having a very very cold shower, vocationally speaking, clearly a total nausea-driven situation, at least for me.

I'd just skip the whole breakfast, stopping by a gas station, buying some lunch part as I don't find it important for this entry. After a few hours of tiring and boring journey, we were finally almost there. Kuala Besut is all about beach or sea or whatever.

Close-up.
The best part of the day was to catch a glimpse
of boats floating on not-so-clear water.

The resort.

Lunchie
Had our dinner
My bro while waiting  for his turn to
perform dikir barat

Spot my abah there!
On the very next day,

typical nasi lemak with keropok ikan on top
for you...  like autumn leaves
*singing Ed Sheeran's*
Despite mingling ourselves with the crowd, Abah and I decided to get out of the resort and having nasi dagang instead. After that, abah took me to Kompleks Pendaratan Ikan LKIM, Kuala Besut. The main reason for him taking me there was to buy some fish but he didn't buy any. So I took this liberty of getting to know more on how fishermen or fishmongers work 'cause I had never seen it before. It's kinda a blessing for me, being able to witness such scene. A new experience, I might add.

LOADS of Fish.
I know this entry is getting boring and boring for you to read but, hey, I just finished writing the story! With that, till the next entry!

Sambutan Sempena 20 tahun di Bumi

Alhamdulillah. Kini umurku tiada lagi belasan tahun seperti tahun tahun dulu.

Cheeewah. Macam tengah tulis novel pulak aku rasa. Ada bakat ada bakat.

Tapi betullah part dah takde bunyi ___ belas kalau orang tanya usia aku.

B) Tahun ni takde hadiah berbalut kertas pembalut T_T!

Aku siap kunci jam pukul 8.30 pagi tapi ended up TERbangun pukul 11 pagi. So, terus jadi pasar taknak.

Mushroom soup to start with

First time mencuba pizza segi empat ni

Kuhiris pizza itu menggunakan pisau tersebut
dengan sopannya agar tidak tercalar piring itu
Secret Recipe's Choc Indulgence

Aku pesan Spaghetti Bolognese, one of my favorites.

Spaghetti Shrimp apa entah nama dia.
Sedaaaap

Tak muat table tu.
Maklumlah, tangan aje dah telan suku meja

Kau bajet kau chomel buat muka seperti itu??

Sekian sekitar sambutan hari lahirku. Alhamdulillah, perut kenyang seminggu.

Ada satu cerita kelakar pasal ais-krim diatas. Lepas kami penat menjamu perut memasing, lepaklah dekat pizza tu kejap sambil main talipon memasing. Lewlz

Halal Slaughter vs Haraam Slaughter

Assalamualaikum wbt  salam Jumaat everyone.

Recently, I've come across a Facebook post that had caught my attention. The post was about how to differentiate between Halal slaughter and Haraam slaughter in detail that some of us, muslims, might have overlooked. I copied and pasted the post as followed:
My dear brothers and sisters. We have a very wrong understanding about the meaning of halal slaughter. I was asked by a non muslim professor once what makes a meat halal and i didn't know an explanation and was embarrassed but gave a vague answer saying that we say the prayer before we cut, that makes it halal. I came back and went through hadiths and articles written by Muslim scholars and finally came to an understanding. I am going to explain it to you in a scientific way so that Insha Allah in the future if anyone asks you the same question you will be prepared to give this answer.

WHAT MAKES A MEAT HALAL OR HARAM?
Ans: It is the undrained blood that contaminates the meat makes it haram.
What these non-Muslim butchers do is completely chop of the head as a result of which the connection between the brain and the heart is lost hence the heart stops pumping/beating almost instantaneously therefore there is no driving force to push the blood out of the body. As a result of this the blood stagnates in the veins and arteries and contaminates the meat. Scientifically it is proven that blood is one of the best culture mediums to grow bacteria. Consuming meat contaminated with blood makes humans more vulnerable to infections and joint pains. Joint pains because of high uric acid levels in blood.
SO WHAT IS HALAL WAY??
Ans: In halal way we do not chop off the head completely but instead we cut the main vein (jugular vein) in the neck first. (This vein contains venous blood in high pressure and it directly connects to the atrium of the heart without any interference). This method of slaughtering preserves the connection between the brain and the heart which allows neural transmissions to be delivered. This keeps the heart pumping/beating until all the blood is drained off completely from every vein and artery in the body making the meat pure and thus halal.
SUBHANALLAH.

SO THE NEXT QUESTION IS WHAT MAKES FISH HALAL EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT SLAUGHTERED THIS WAY??
Allah SWT has created fish in such a way that the moment it is removed from water the entire blood in its body is redirected to a part called the epiglottis in its mouth which turns bright red thus indicating that the blood is drained and the meat is pure.
SUBHANALLAH
*Please share and educate others as well.

Travelogue : Johor.

Assalamualaikum wbt.

It's almost two weeks already since my first day staying at this gigantic building of the University of Technology, Malaysia. Some people even questioned me with all these,
'what the hell are you doing there?'
'So, you're pursuing your degree there, huh?'
well, I'd answer them,
'No, I'm not. I've a sister, doing her Master in here. So I'm kinda visiting her.'
'Pray me for the best, will ya?' -the answer for the second question. Ask no more.
OKAY. Here's the thing.

I've been here for some issues which would take me a whole world to reveal them to you. Besides, I'm kinda in the mood of travelling. Well, not quite 'travelling' though but I'd rather call this as my lil' travelling experiences here in Skudai; a part of Johor.

So where to begin with? Let's do some flashback to when I first stepped my foot in Johor this time. 'Twas August 20th, 2015, on Thursday. Basically, there were me and my other family members, in the midst of chilly midnight, crossing through all the highways (not all obviously, I'm kinda making this up) heading to Skudai, Johor.
Had nasi lemak for breakfast

Morning rise and shine from my cars #eh

We reached there by 10 in the morning on the next day. We rented a homestay; Homestay Qaisara, just a mile away from the university. It costed us RM180/overnight. Not gonna be detailed at this point, but here are some photos of the homestay.

My last few days in KY pt. 2

Howdy! I'm back! Gonna continue the part 2 today.
Here's the first part of my entry

Tanjong Malim's Pasar Malam (night market) off we go

That weekend, most of the Royals went back and the only folks left were me and Ain. To make our long weekend un-waste, we came up with a plan of a trip to Pasar Malam which supposed to be our last trip to Tg Malim. There I said, supposed to be. Because apparently on the next weekend, we went there, again.

The cost for a taxi from Lembah Beringin to Tg Malim was around RM50/round trip. Thus, we have to convince our other friends to tag along so that the cost could be divided fairly for 4 persons. Then there we were; me, Ain, Syafiq and Acap. Quite brilliant weren't we?
