How To Install .apk File or .ipa File On Your Electronic Device.

Before we start this piece of cake tutorial today, let me write down the explanation on what is the .apk file extension and .ipa file extension.

  • Brief introduction on the extensions.
    • .apk file extension
Android application package (APK) is the package file format used by the Android operating system for distribution and installation of mobile apps and middleware.
APK files can be installed on Android powered devices just like installing software on PC. When a user downloads and installs an Android application from either an official source (such as Google Play), or from some other (unofficial) site, they are installing an APK file on their device.
A user or developer can also install an APK file directly to a device (that is, not via download from the network) from a desktop computer, using a communication program such as adb, or from within a file manager app in a process known as "sideloading".
By default, the ability to install from unofficial sites or directly from a desktop or file manager is disabled for security reasons on most Android devices. Users can enable it by changing the setting "Unknown sources" in the Settings menu.

    • .ipa file extension
An .ipa file (iPhone Application archive) is an iOS application archive file which stores an iOS app. Each .ipa file includes a binary for the ARM architecture and can only be installed on an iOS-device. Files with the .ipa extension can be uncompressed by changing the extension to .zip and unzipping.

Come on, it's okay to not know the description of both extensions. The important thing to note is an .apk file is used by the Android OS meanwhile an .ipa file is for iOS. When we download an app from either Google Play or App Store, we are actually downloading these extensions. When the app is installed, the file is actually being compressed so that you can use the app, say, the Instagram, like right now ( a readable app for us the end the users).
  • How to install an .apk file
    •   Firstly, download the .apk file to your android device. Remember the location where the downloaded .apk file is stored on your device.
    •  Go to your device setting > security > allow installation from sources other than the Play Store tab > tick the checkbox.
  • Disclaimer: this photo isn't mine. I'm just too lazy to screenshot
the whole process and I found this on Google.
      • Go to the location where the downloaded .apk file is stored. Click on the file. Start the installation process.
      • When the process is done, you’re good to use the app as the .apk file is completely installed as an app.

    • How to install an .ipa file
I'm gonna explain the easiest method that I always use so far.
      •  Firstly, download the .ipa file and remember the location where the downloaded .ipa file is stored. I would recommend you to download it directly from your PC and store it at any location you could easily access, i.e. save the .ipa file in the Download folder or Desktop.
      • Connect your iOS device to the PC. Or you can do this step first followed by the step above.
      • Open up the iFunBox. Follow the instructions as pictures shown below.
Go to the Managing App Data tab.
Then you'll see the Install App (*.ipa) - as circled above.
    Click on it.
Once you click, a window will appear. Look for the downloaded
.ipa file on your PC and click Save to begin the installation.
Once the installation finished, you're good to use the app on your iOS device.

I would recommend you people to use the iFunBox because it is easy to use and a very user-friendly app.

I hope this article is helpful for any of you out there.

Instagram's latest version: Could it be the worst nightmare?

Just wasting my time painting the canvas lol
Today (or yesterday), Instagram has released the latest update of the app; available on google play and apps store. Apparently I haven’t update my devices to the latest version just yet.

You see here, I got a habit of delaying the updating activities for any apps installed on my electronic devices. The reasons might be, yes, I don’t like spending my internet quota on these activities, and b because I usually spend my time reading reviews written by those immediate-updaters (I named them as such to refer to those who are the first one to update the apps to the latest version) before I start thinking whether to update any particular applications or otherwise.
*Note how many times I used the word 'update' in one single paragraph LOL.

Okay now let’s go back to the purpose of why I’m writing this entry. Last night, while I was scrolling down my Instagram feed, I saw a photo uploaded by Instagram itself. What actually caught my attention wasn’t the photo's caption but rather the comments posted by users. Lots of people riled up to criticize or give out their feedback on the latest version of the apps. Most common comments I’ve read are
    • The logout button is missing! Put it back on!
    • Where’s the switch account feature?
    • Help I cannot switch between accounts!
    • I have like more than 13k followers in my other account. Now that the switch and logout are missing, thanks to you, feel like I cannot update the account no more!
    • The update is suck! If you think this has made you a better social media platform, then I think you are very wrong! In any ways!
    • I really really hate this whole showing the best posts on your timeline thing. Like, seriously??
    • Do you really have to do that??
To be honest, I really don’t like the new Instagram’s feature of having our timeline no longer sorted chronologically as it should have been because that’s what a timeline is all about. I mean, come on! It maybe the best posts on my timeline but perhaps not according to my preference. The idea of turning on any users’ notifications is somehow dissed me. I’m sorry Instagram.
But thanks to them (the updaters) for providing such helpful and thoughtful comments or reviews regarding the apps because
    • The apps developers would love their feedback as these hardworking developers would immediately go all out and in to fix the glitches found in the latest version of the application, thus the known glitches would be disappear forever when the next update/version is released in the nearest future. See that’s why the feedback section on Apps Store and Google Play is important.
    • The other users should aware if there are any problems with the apps before updating the apps on their devices. It is each user’s responsibility when it comes to self-awareness, thus the ‘SELF’ there. Users should not be a lazy bum to read the reviews because this is a healthy trick for them to make a wise decision; should or shouldn’t I update the apps or not just yet?
It is important to note that an update doesn’t necessarily mean that every glitch or bug found in the previous version of a particular apps is ‘gone’ gone, forever disappear or whatever the term you’re using. Basically an update means the apps has been tweaked in any ways to suit and satisfy users’ needs. That’s the reason why for an apps/ software, the version number comes after their name
eg: Instagram v7.19.0 < the latest version of Instagram.

My friend texted me about the disappearance of Clear Search History button on Instagram. She updated the apps this afternoon and somehow couldn’t find the named button. A few buttons are missing and I hope everyone’s handling this kind of situation very well and wisely.

But hey, there’s always a trick to get the previous version of any apps back installed on your devices. If your device is running on Android platform, try to google  'instagram’s version (ie: instagram version 17) .apk file free download', download the file to your device and install it but make sure to allow the installation of apps from sources other than the Google Play Store on your device. (in the device setting)

If your device is running on iOS platform, replace the .apk file with .ipa file instead before googling them. To install any .ipa file on your iOS devices, I would recommend you to use iFunBox (a software available for PCs) and be sure that your device is connected to your PC to do so.
    Then you’re good to go!
    (I explained this here)

Anyway, how do you find the latest version of  Instagram? Me favor the previous one rather than this one. It's up to you people to get the latest version or not. There're always these two stores:

    Show Your Support!

    Howdy mates!

It's been forever since my last entry. Just got the chance to spare my time to update this blog.

Anyway, this entry is mainly focusing on my just-published self-made website. Yeah, You heard it right. After all these years, I've just come to realize my passion in photography and decided to come out with a website. Well, I had my Viewbug account set up (some time in 2014) and barely manage the account as I was busy with something else at that moment. Now that my schedule is wide open, I decided to restart off fresh this interest of mine which I once had buried it deep underneath the ground of mine. Hence, I started to reorganize my Instagram feed. I used to have two different Instagram accounts (my personal affair and my photography instinct account : akmalgraphy) but I somehow deleted the latter. Like I wrote earlier, I wanted to restart off fresh, hence all the website, Instagram feed doing. And I started to manage my viewbug account once again.

    my weebly website.
Do not forget to visit my viewbug account.

Dear all, please show me your support and thank you for taking your time to read the entire entry.

Trick To Unblock My Blocked Instagram Account [Updated]

Are you an avid instagrammer? Had been blocked by Instagram from accessing your own account? been blocked from commenting or liking pictures?
supposed that we have a trick that may work, (depends on warning they gave)
    Picture
    Why action blocked?
basically, it comes when you do all the liking for too many pictures in a short period of time. sometimes it sounds doesn't make sense at all but yeah, instagram just doing their job for security
How long does it takes to getting unblock?
I'd say, according to the instagram itself, it will cost around 24 hours to get back to comment or like pictures once you have been blocked. that is what they say but for some people, it takes longer than that.  And even some people are prone from not getting unblock by the instagram. this may due to their comments beforehand were kinda spam ,according to their commenting protocol or whatsoever version are they've been called of.
Getting blocked for the first time?
based on my experiment aka experience before, they prone to block my account within 24 hours and NOT more than that period of time. so, be calm. still, within that 24 hours, I can like and comment some pictures by using Instagram for desktop. you know that instagram also has this feature to view your timeline on desktop, but no uploading pictures in their feature.
my advice to those who got blocked for the first time, just wait for another 24 hours. rest and take a nap perhaps.
Getting blocked for several times already?
not really for the second timer and above as this feature too, for the first timer. try to comment or like on any pictures. usually this will appear right after your trial.
    Picture
just follow the instruction given as this will bring you to be unblocked from accessing your own account later.
    Picture
this is how it will look alike. and I was using Instagram for desktop at that time because my phone won't work to show this kind of feature. yeah, quite an internet connection problem at that time.
as you know, if your Instagram on phone doesn't work, you can try on the desktop version. just enter the code/number, then you can enjoy your instagram again.
Is there any type of instagram block?
I'd say yes to this question because we, instagrammer too can block certain users from accessing our account or for whatever reasons it is. sometimes you only can like picture but not to comment on that particular picture and vice versa.
this trick work for me though. it may work for you too and may not work for you. if anything, just refer to Instagram technical support team back.thanks for reading and feel free to drop some comments!

POINT TO NOTE : THIS POST WAS POSTED NEARLY A YEAR AGO SO THE TRICK MAY NO LONGER WORK.

    UPDATED ON : MAY 27TH, 2015

if any of these aren't working, I'd suggest you guys to use a VPN, like what've been commented by one of the commentators below.

    UPDATED ON : APRIL 13th, 2016.

One point to note: Instagram only allows you to insert/put up to 20-25 hashtags in your caption or/and comment. Otherwise, an error message will pop up.
